Congratulations to Southern Highlands Water Polo, who have successfully secured a grant under the NSW Government Local Sport Grants Program 2023/24 for the Junior WaveMakers Water Polo Tournament Development Program. An amount of $6020 has been awarded to the Club. Southern Highlands Water Polo are currently working with the Council and other stakeholders on the Community and Recreational Facilities Strategy to advocate for and improve the masterplan for sporting facilities in the Highlands. Water polo as a sport grows in popularity every year, and I recognise the efforts of the board and members of Southern Highlands Water Polo to make the club a vibrant and engaging feature of the sports on offer in the Highlands. The Club is run with the dedication of volunteers who give their time in training, refereeing, coaching and fundraising. Junior and Senior teams have represented the Highlands at both state and interstate competitions, and will continue to make waves in future comps. I'm delighted to have been able to support this well-deserved funding for you. I know it will make a huge difference to your club members, especially the youth, and the community.
